Famna - non-profit providers within health and social care
What Famna does
Health care is not only supplied by public care providers and private profit-making organisations. There are also many non-profit or ideas-driven players. Famna aims to highlight the added values and the quality that these players – our members – supply to health and social care in Sweden.
We participate in situations where pressing health care issues are dealt with. For example, we participate in the political parties’ local authority and county council days, we arrange and participate in seminars and we act as a referral body.
One issue of particular importance is how we can achieve increased diversity of health care providers in Sweden. For example, we have participated in the dialogue that the Government has conducted with the ideas-driven organisations within health and social care aimed at reaching an agreement. We also collaborate with other players within the non-profit sector on joint issues in order to strengthen our members’ position and potential to work on equal terms.
